The description of the Choice Band in Generation III kinda confuses me. Does it power up the move you use, regardless of its type? Or does it increase the attack like in later generations? The first one makes more sense to me (it would match the description). The second one doesn't seem to make that much sense, because if you used, say, a Fire-type move you would be just locked into it without any advantage (remember, all Fire-type moves were Special in Gen.
