:It's a placeholder name. Whenever a new game comes out, the players are always given names based on the respective upcoming games. Brendan is Orlando, May is Anna, Calem is Xavier, Serena is Yvonne, etc etc... See [http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Talk:Calem_%28game%29#Player_versus_NPC here] for more info.
