:According to Google Translate, you are correct, but I don't think that's the most reliable translation method out there. I think "brandpunt" might be a synonym for focus, though - this Wikipedia article[http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandpunt_%28optica%29] mentions both words in close proximity but I can't read the language.
