::Well, we know the items do not work for super training. So its likely they also do not work here, but if they work via Lv up then they could work. I know the EV Yield article states "When a Pokémon is defeated in battle, it will give effort values to the Pokémon that participated in the battle against it." Non of these Pokémon save for Meinfoo actually participated in battle, and even then Meinfoo took a back seat so that Charizard could level up faster without distraction. There needs to be some more research into this. We don't even know if they are getting the Pokérus benefit added or not. Its one thing for an infected Pokémon who wins the battle, its a whole other beast for those that never step foot into it.
