| Now that we have X & Y, I have come to believe that Giratina's Griseous Orb could be actually the world's first and most purest Mega Stone ever made, due to several reasons;

| First of all the Griseous Orb barely resembles to an orb, since it appears to be more like a rustic unpolished rock. This item alone while being hold, can keep Giratina's origin forme permanently at the start and the end of a battle, as opposed to most mega evolutions, meaning that mega evolving it during a battle is not necessary and no level of friendship its required either to meet this transformation.

| Obviously Giratina was created by Arceus since the start of time and space and so far he is the only pokémon that can transform into another pokémon in a permanent way by holding an item. Like most Mega Evolved pokémon its ability and stats change in it's origin forme, making it more strong than usual since both of it's attacking stats are buffed when in this forme.

| Because of those small facts and since the first pokémon to have been recognized by humans as the first Mega Evolution known was Lucario, that has led me to believe that Mega Evolutions were first originated in Sinnoh during ancient periods, and aftewards the pokémon war that took place in the Kalos region were more pokémon were exposed to the same kind of power as Giratina's griseous Orb, which would probably be linked to the giant crystal in Anistar city.
