I was first introduced to Pokémon via the TCG, my very first card was a {{TCG|Water Energy}}. At the time, I only wanted cards so I could trade them with other kids (since that was the fad at the time) but gradually I learned more about the characters that appeared on the cards, and the rest was history. Shortly thereafter, I was given my own [[Game Boy Pocket]] and a copy of Pokémon Red Version (Allegedly, my mother went to the store and they were sold out of Game Boy Colors, so she got me the Pocket instead). Since then, I've played games from every single generation ([[Generation III]] is still my favourite). I don't really follow the anime closely anymore (though I do catch it on TV once in a while and I keep buying all the DVDs), but I loooove Pokémon manga :). I collect all kinds of Pokémon manga not just for the wiki but also it's my hobby.
