The scene begins with Ash and his friends' return to Lumiose City, while Ash thinks about getting his second Gym Badge at Cyllage City. Serena made a suggestion that they would first meet with Professor Sycamore before departing, and everyone accepted the idea while she shows them her basket of baked macarons. Meanwhile, at an abandoned warehouse, Team Rocket plans on making Meowth Mega Evolve to get Ash's Pikachu, while planning on stealing the research data from the Professor. | |||
Back at Professor Sycamore's lab, everyone's having tea only for Chespin to take almost a handful of macarons from her basket. Outside the lab, Team Rocket bursts in and kidnapped the Professor, only for Serena and Bonnie to get accidentally captured inside the truck. But thanks to the leftover pieces of macaron left by Dedenne, Ash, Clemont, and Chespin are able to follow the path to Team rocket's hideout. As Ash and Clemont are going to rescue the other, Chespin accidentally alert Team Rocket about their presence and activated their new mecha, the Mega-Mega-Mega Mecha-Meowth. Ash and his friends fought it to no avail, until Chespin and Clemont pull the external plug, Meowth then activates the sub-energy supply. Team Rocket got the advantage, until Mega Blaziken turn the tables single-handed, while Ash and Clemont took care of the rest send them flying. | |||
