Hello! Just a factual question here. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I didn't know where else to turn. Anyways, I'm playing my FireRed game, and looking at the article for Trainer Tower, I see that some of the pokémon are holding some pretty impressive and rare items. So, I boot up my TM46 thief for Raichu, and tackle the tower. And I use thief. Twice. To no avail. What went wrong? Is it just that thief isn't 100% foolproof, or the facility won't allow for theft (yes, I made sure Chu wasn't holding anything)? :I imagine any stolen items are given back to the other trainer after the battle. The thing about Towers and Frontier-like facilities is that they pretty much reset once you leave. (That's why none of the Pokémon seen are recorded in the Poké Dex.)
