:It may have only happened twice for main characters, but there are only maybe a dozen or so Pokemon that exist that change their primary type, which makes the criterion weirdly picky. It wouldn't be worthwhile to say something is, for example, the first Pokemon over 17 feet tall or over 900 pounds to be caught by a main character, so how is this any different?
