| The report on Cinnabar Mansion does say that "Mew gave born". However, we can easily assume the following: the newfound Pokémon, Mew, was cloned from DNA contained in a cell taken from its eyebrow. The newly-fecunded zygote was then accomodated in a tank under special condictions, which simulated an uterine environment, appropriate for a zygote to develop into an embryo and then into a faetus, and the newborn Pokémon was christened Mewtwo.

| However, the scientist team expressed themselves in a rather poetic way by stating that "Mew gave born". That phrase was only a metaphor, an allusion to the fact that the newborn Mewtwo contained the same DNA from the original Mew, thus being a "child" to it and not a "separate twin sibling" (as clones are sometimes referred to in real life) since they are not 100% identical - although they do share some resemblance.

| Simpy put, Mewtwo was CREATED rather than being BORN. Stop all the bulls**t and accept that. The Mewtwo page needs a correction on the part that says it was born from a pregnant Mew. -- Raphabr87 (talk) 13:48, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

| Nevermind, I found them. I was mistaken and Mew did give birth to Mewtwo.--Ceol 16:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC) | | Nevermind, I found them. I was mistaken and Mew did give birth to Mewtwo.--Ceol 16:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC) |
