Axiomist formally founded the wiki; this is also stated on NIWA's Members page, among other places. Adam is thanked on WiKirby's about page for installing the software, but never listed as the wiki's creator.

 On October 8, 2010, WiKirby announced merger plans with Kirby Wiki, one of the various wikis on the wiki farm Wikia. Plans were mostly inspired by the new mandatory skin. However, the merge was soon cancelled due to lack of initiative.
