Special events were once held monthly, allowing members to obtain rare Legendary and Novelty Pokémon that are otherwise unobtainable; however, they have now been replaced by "Explorations". There are two types of Explorations with varied difficulty: "Special Explorations" can be very difficult and have higher requirements to start, while "Normal Explorations" will be more easily accessible.
