DID YOU KNOW?
ArcToraphim...

*...can't ever stay under one name. In fact, 'ArcToraphim' is really the pseudonym to her truest pseudonym, Luna Tiger. Or simply Luna. Or simpler yet, LT. Due to her ex-moniker on SPPf though, she's also commonly called Toraphi over there. But it's still just 'Luna' for short and likes it best.
I am Luna. I do things.
:*Toraphim is a portmanteau of 'tora' and 'seraphim', one she personally constructed. It's been shortened to both Toraphi and Toraph over the course-time of the word's use. She considers it retired now.

*...is a Water Dog - Aquarius, born January 31th, 1983, and currently going for an English Major / Dramatic Arts Minor at a CUNY established college (yay, how useless!) in New York City. Conveniently, and much to her passive ire, her real name is January. You won't find her name in the CotD'dex anytime soon. Shame. It's a pretty name, just not grand to have.
:*Speaking of schooling, while she's sure she'll be finishing up in the next year or so, she's making plans for graduate school. Specifically, law school. That's right, boys and girls: LT might just be a loi~yah when she's 30!

*...accepted mod status solely to update the (In)Complete 'Shippers List on Bulbagarden's forums. She's been at it since July of 2006...and she admits it might have made her a little tetched sometime in between then and now.
:*While 'ships can be found in several other fandoms, she believes it doesn't work the same for them as it does Pokémon. Her opinion is the -shipping suffix itself is clumsy and useless in a limited setting...but she still really likes maintaining the List.

*...is a major Falkner and Gardenia fan. She loves Falkner before other characters (though holds back on public fanning) and will never stop; Gardenia was the first Gym Leader since Falkner to truly make her heart go pitter-patter. She is also a fangirl of Brock (and his Croagunk too).
:*She's ashamed to admit she is responsible for the majority of Falkner 'ships on the 'Shipper's List, but also admits it's addictive and fun, and impossible for her to stop. In the same recipe, she 'ships Honorshipping (Morty x Falkner) above all others and believes to be its biggest English contributor toward it.

*...is a huge fan of the Johto region in general and wishes it hadn't turned out to be the black sheep of the Pokémon generational games. The majority of her favorite pokémon come from that region, and hates seeing them strewn across Hoenn and the Sevii Isles just so Johto doesn't need to be revisited. The region's traditionalist air is also attractive. Please Nintendo, bring Johto back for the 4th generation!

*...is a writer. Though currently, she believes that should read: 'was a writer'.

*...has a quiet obsession for voice acting.

*...LOVES the type combination, except doesn't like Quagsire. Or Whiscash. Or the Westside Gastrodon (Eastside, yo!). In the same vein, she never liked any of the water starters until Mudkip.

*...apparently talks in third person. Huh. She has to fix this.

In the Beginning
Luna's been involved with Pokémon since Pokémon Blue reached her younger brother's possession in 1998. With Blue and Red somehow gotten between them, and Yellow too, with only a single GameBoy Color between them until sometime after Gold and Silver were released, there was much anarchy. Memories of this are hazy, but yes, it was bad.

Since then, Luna and her brother Jargo (who never related to the Pokémon fandom) have kept up a coincidental theme of game ownership: Luna would always have the 'Hero' games (Red, Gold, Ruby, and Diamond) and Jargo would always own the 'Rival' games (Blue, Silver, Sapphire, and Pearl). In fact, one of Luna's reasons for buying Diamond was to finally get away from the 'warm-color' games (another reason was that Diamond got the better deal on Pokémon; Dialga rules, Palkia drools); it's just a neat coincidence that tradition still holds firm.

The only game they've never owned between them was Pokémon Crystal. Jargo's lost Silver and Sapphire (which Luna personally bought him; rawr dammit!), and Luna's lost Emerald, much to her grief and grievance.

'Shippper Involvement
Luna's ultimate discovery of shipping happened once she discovered "yaoi" in 1999/2000, and began with ShiShi, or Pallet, on Ruaki's (now defunct) website DigiPark. This lead to her finding the Anyshippers website, and realizing this...was going to be fun.

It went all downhill from there. To finding various groups of 'ship names splashed everywhere (the at-the-time most current was on the Anyshippers Yahoo! Group, to her knowledge) to making her first actual submission to the older-and-gone BMGf 'Shipper List thread (BTW, that was Honorshipping), she was and is (for a lack of a better way to say it) latched onto the damn thing at the hip. She even met Blackjack Gabianni through the Anyshippers Group.

Taking Over the 'Shippers' List (modly powerz)
Having joined since mid-2003, making many a submission since (including Origin), it came to a point where...she got really adamant (read: annoying) with pointing out the List errors and was promoted to Modship to take over the List-keeping. ...Then MondoTR vanished, leaving the poor girl to Mod alone, without really knowing what to do with her shiny new powers. Drama Attack, go!

And as many a victim can attune to, she's a tempermental mod. Never did know how to play nice. Oops?

Maintaining the Shippers' List
Did you know, before the invention of the multi-quote function, getting all the 'ships were done 'by hand'? Either using the edit or regular quote functions...because she had a thing against font whackiness and automatic formatting issues of just c/ping straight from the post. Something of an OCD complex.

Using a 'Latest Additions' mode didn't come until the middle of August '06. She's pretty sure it's been a big help too, because at times there were missed submissions, and at the List's current size, she can't simply do a sweep to check and relies on others to find what she missed. ...They're pretty good about it too.

Submissions themselves are getting tricky. She relocated the list from its place on the BMGf server to decrease PC crashing it caused by viewing it (for those with slower connections) to an off-site local...that's hardly a picnic to keep going. Updates aren't as frequent, because freewebs, just like any other site server, is cruddy to use. Another reason she relies on the Latest Additions, to at least assure people she has the submissions and isn't just lying down on the job.

....She wants it back on the forums, dammit. TT_TT

What 'Shipping Actually Means To Her
'Shipping is all fun and games; you aren't supposed to take it seriously. Fan wars are funny and pathetically sad, hating another couple should be kept to yourself for the sake of supporters (no one has the right to make anyone else feel wrong or bad), and none of it is supposed to bend you out of shape.

...Now aside from that, Luna is militant upon protecting the List's integrity and purpose. She's not afraid to beat people around to accepting what's on there is (more or less) Law, for all reasons to prevent confusion and keep unity over what something is called. It's a reference, an ever-growing reference that should be used, not neglected, and people who ignore using it when they know it exists...are unhealthy for the romantic side of the fandom.

She vehemently protected Towershipping when Ash/Anabel fans wanted to call it that (when it had been Rafe/Ash since the Deoyxs movie), until it was finally settled to Ability. She fought to save Lagomorph from people who didn't like the word lagomorph, until that calmed down as well. She denied people trying to peg Lucas/Dawn as Shinoushipping when it was already Fortune, and is glad Shinoushipping is scarred with both Lucas/Dawn and Ash/Dawn, preventing people from saying that there's a pattern to follow when it comes to region names and the couples they represent.

She will fight for that List, until she finally grows tired and retires (and personally, she's hoping she will, too, soon).

Actual Supported Couples
*Honorshipping - Morty and Falkner
*Raccoonshipping - Will and Whitney
*Gaia - Gardenia and Cheryl
*Gothshipping - Karen and Clair
*Janeshipping - Jasmine and Janine
*Boulder - Brock and Ash
*Neglectshipping - Brendan and Misty
*Ignition - Volkner and Flint
*Molest - Brock and Brock
*Brocket - Brock and James
*Manga - Brock and Sabrina
*Hollow - Brock and Paul
*Legendaryshipping - Lugia and Ho-oh
*LateNightshipping - Jaco and Brock
*Crudeshipping - A.J. and Corey
*Godisdeadshipping - Arceus and Missingno

And now that she thinks about it, she supports everything on her Project page too. Yep, she really does. Because she did mention how much she loves that boy.

...She's a grammar Nazi, of sorts. Mainly she just fixes errors when she finds them and punches in a number or two, or throws in a couple lines of extra information, but not much else. Making and designing pages are better left to the people who can do then properly, which isn't her. She's low-grade.

Most of the time.
Most of the time.</s> I upgraded. And I don't remember any of the articles I've made. This is all.
