 Walking on Route 3, the player will meet many new Pokemon. This area is a great place to level up and train for the second gym, so take a few minutes, catch a couple pokemon, and train them up. New Pokemon in the grass include Blitzle and Pidove, both of which could be very useful in the future battles.

In a first for the series, their is a daycare that heals the Pokemon and a building that allows the drop-off of pokemon needed to be raised, like in other games.
