The '''C-Gear''' is an electronic device introduced in {{game|Black and White|s}}. It is used to access the [[High Link|Hi Link]], [[Global Link]] and for infared linking purposes.

The C-Gear can be used to warp the player to the Hi Link, an area in the centre of Isshu from most outdoor locations<!--needs more testing-->. Once there, the Hi Link Forest can be entered to befriend Pokémon wished upon in the Dream World; Shining Powers can be activate at the Entrance Tree by using Shining Spheres, and can venture into other nearby players' Isshus, where the player is shown using their multiplayer avatar in a monochrome version of Isshu. In another player's Isshu, using the lower screen teleportation to any city or town in the inner hexagon of Isshu is possible, and the visitor will recieve missions which reward the player with Shining Spheres. Although Shining Spheres are available in the Dream World or via trading, the player must visit another player's Isshu before the Entrance Tree is usable.

The Live Caster can be used to communicate with other players <!--who have traded friend codes(?) -->nearby using local WiFi, where up to 4 players can talk to each other using a radio-like system, and if they have DSi or DSiLL and camera function is not disabled, see each other. <!--Several voice changers are available to change the tone of the voice transmitted.--> The Live Caster can also be used over the internet by selecting it at the Global Terminal in Pokémon Centres.

The C-Gear can be used to synchronise the save file of the game card, to the Pokémon Global Link site, which provides access to the {{pkmn|Dream World}}, in a procedure called the Game Sync. The player will be asked to select a Pokémon from their storage to put to sleep, which will then appear in the Global Link. A Pokémon may only be put to sleep once a day, however, changing the DS clock or using the game in another DS will result in needing to wait 24 hours before a Pokémon can be put to sleep again. On the Global Link site various statistics such as playtime, badges, ranked battle ratings and Friend List are viewable.
