I'd recommend pasting it into your sandbox, rather than your talk page; but remember, you can use the preview button as much as you want to look at it before you save, so that you won't have as many edits actually showing up on the Recent Changes page. That's what I did when I designed my HP bar. Also, if you are confused about which colors correspond to which parts of the box, I recommend changing each color to #000000 one at a time, and seeing which parts of the box turn white. That was what I did when I was choosing my color scheme. I actually modified mines a bit to fit my own tastes, and it does differ originally from TTE's.
