Release information

This card was first released in the Japanese Wind from the Sea expansion as a Holofoil and Non Holofoil card, with artwork by Hisao Nakamura. In Japan, it was reprinted with artwork by the same artist as one of the P Promotional cards available as part of a McDonald's promotion that ran between May 25 and June 16, 2002. The two Wind From the Sea prints were then released in English in the Aquapolis expansion. A Reverse Holofoil Jumbo print was also released as a Box Topper in the expansion's booster boxes.

Trivia

Origin

Snatch is a move later introduced in the Generation III Pokémon games; however, the Japanese names are not the same, making the moves unrelated. Heavy Metal is an Ability later introduced in Generation V, though Scizor cannot have it. The Japanese name of Heavy Metal is spelled ヘビーメタル rather than ヘヴィメタル as in the video games. This card's Japanese e-Reader Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Crystal. The English entry erroneously has Scyther's Pokédex entry instead, which also comes from Pokémon Crystal.
