Ryoma (Japanese: リョウマ Ryōma) is a minor character in Pokémon Gotta Catch 'Em All and a rival of Shu. He dresses as a samurai and owns a highly mischievous Farfetch'd.

Character

Ryoma thought of Shu as an amateur Trainer when they first met. After the battle, Ryoma begins to respect him.

History

Ryoma first appeared in A Farfetch'd Fencing Match! where he stopped Shu from catching his Farfetch'd, as Shū mistook it for a wild Pokémon. Ryoma explained that his Farfetch'd is unstoppable in terms of speed and power. This made Shu want to battle it in order to prove Ryoma wrong.

They go to Ryoma's dojo where the battle took place. Shu was in a disadvantage at first as Farfetch'd moved super quick. However, Pikachu was able to win using the technique, Thunder Sword, a technique that Shu came up with. With Ryoma defeated, he returns the belt that his Farfetch'd took earlier.

Pokémon

		Farfetch'd
		Farfetch'd is Ryoma's only known Pokémon. It was mistaken as a wild Pokémon when Shu first met it. Farfetch'd is a master swordsman who had the ability to cut anything and it was super quick, as Shu and Pikachu had trouble keeping up with its speed. During the battle, Pikachu was able to defeat it using a technique Shu came up known as the Thunder Sword. None of Farfetch'd's moves are known.
