Pokémon Official Magazine

On October 1, 2004, the first official Pokémon magazine was published in United Kingdom. The first issue had 92 pages, and included three gifts; a double-sided poster, a 3D Charmander model and six Pokémon fridge magnets.

Editor Tim Street made the following statement regarding the release of Pokémon Official Magazine:

"There has never been a better time to launch this title; fans have demanded it for years, ever since the very first Pokémon phenomenon swept the globe at the turn of the millennium. The appetite for Pokémon has never waned - just look at the amazing sales success of the Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire Game Boy Advance titles last year."

The magazine was intended to be quarterly, with a new issue planned for release four times a year. However, due to poor sales, the magazine was canceled after its second issue.

Official Pokémon Magazine

In February 2013, Future Publishing, publisher of Official Nintendo Magazine, announced that it would begin publication of Official Pokémon Magazine from March that year.[1] Each issue had 34 pages, including posters, covering various aspects of the Pokémon franchise such as video games, the Trading Card Game and the anime, and came with a free gift.

Issues contained several pages retelling the plot of an episode from Pokémon the Series: Black & White, as well as a page summarizing an older episode, along with various 'fun pages' (which included coloring activities, word decoders and counting games) and pages dedicated to drawings of Pokémon sent in by readers.

Due to poor sales, the magazine was cancelled after 13 issues. Subscribers were transfered to Official Nintendo Magazine for the remainder of their subscriptions.
