Release information

This card was available as an XY Black Star Promo in the Mega Blaziken-EX Premium Collection released November 4, 2015. A Jumbo version was also included in the collection. In Japan, it was released as one of the XY-P Promotional cards and could be obtained by presenting the voucher present on flyers inserted in Rayquaza Mega Battle Mega Packs, released on April 17, 2015, to attendants present at each Rayquaza Mega Battle venue. The Rayquaza Mega Battle was held at the Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Nagoya on May 5, 2015; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on May 9 and 10, 2015; at the Sapporo Factory, Sapporo on May 23 and 24, 2015; and at Intex Osaka, Osaka on May 31, 2015.

Trivia

The only Blaziken-EX card was rotated in the 2017-18 Standard format, making this an orphaned card during the format.
