Hydro Steam (Japanese: ハイドロスチーム Hydro Steam) is a damage-dealing Water-type move introduced in Generation IX. It is the signature move of Walking Wake.

Effect

Hydro Steam inflicts damage. If used under harsh sunlight, it receives a 50% damage boost, unlike all other Water-type moves which would receive a 50% damage reduction in harsh sunlight instead.

If used by a Pokémon holding a Utility Umbrella during harsh sunlight, its does not receive the 50% damage boost, instead being affected by the standard 50% damage reduction for Water-type moves.

Description

Games Description
SV The user blasts the target with boiling-hot water. This move's power is not lowered in harsh sunlight but rather boosted by 50 percent.
