Heath (Japanese: ヘザー Heather) is a character in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. He was a member of the Area Zero Expedition survey team and the author of the Scarlet BookS/Violet BookV. He was part of the first group to reach the depths of Area Zero and encounter Paradox Pokémon.

More than 200 years prior to the events of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet,[2] Heath, a writer and a brilliant natural historian, was chosen to join the Area Zero Expedition survey team, which was sponsored by the director of Naranja AcademyS/Uva AcademyV at the time. During the expedition, Heath wrote the findings made by the team.

At one point while exploring the depths of Area Zero, Heath strayed from his team and fell unconscious. He would then have an encounter with a Legendary Pokémon, which he would later name Terapagos.[3] When later found by the rest of the team, he could only remember speaking to someone in an unfamiliar place, as if in a dream. He was found with a page with his handwriting on it, even though he had no memory of actually writing it.

Upon returning from the expedition, Heath would later publish his writings as the Scarlet BookS/Violet BookV. However, the contents of the book proved to be so fantastical that Heath and the rest of the Area Zero Expedition team were accused of lying and became widely discredited. In the present day his descendent, Briar is determined to prove that he was telling the truth about Terapagos, which she would succeed in doing so during the events of the The Indigo Disk.

Pokémon

Cyclizar is Heath's only known Pokémon. It was Heath's partner Pokémon and helped the expedition by carrying the team's luggage and equipment.
