The HeartGold & SoulSilver TCG Series, was the Series that maintained the steady flow of TCG merchandise during the year of 2011, until the release of Black & White in Brazil in the same year. Throughout the year, a variety of products, ranging from Collector's Tins to Theme Decks and Blister Packs, were released in order to promote the card game, and ultimately, the Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver video games. Below is a chronological list of all merchandise items released during the HeartGold & SoulSilver TCG Series.

HeartGold & SoulSilver Theme Decks

The first promotional product released during this Series were the preconstructed Theme Decks for the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion on July 15, 2011. This expansion featured three different decks—Conflito de Crescimento, Fagulha de Chamas, and Enchente Mental—featuring the three final evolutions of the Johto first partner Pokémon. Each 60 card deck featured an additional type: Conflito de Crescimento with the Fighting-type, Fagulha de Chamas with the Lightning-type, and Enchente Mental with the Psychic-type. Each Theme Deck contained a rulebook, damage counters, status counters, a custom coin, one single-player mat, and a deckbox.

HeartGold & SoulSilver video contest

From August 16 to September 2, 2011, Copag held a video contest. To participate, the contestants had to upload a video on YouTube with the tag "pokemoncopag" explaining the rules of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Each contestant received a HeartGold & SoulSilver booster. The video chosen by the judging committee was posted on Copag's website and the author of the video received the following Pokémon kit:

  • 1 official Pokémon cap
  • 1 Pokémon pencil
  • 1 Pokémon sticker pack
  • 4 HeartGold & SoulSilver boosters
  • 1 HGSS deck Enchente Mental
  • 1 HGSS deck Fagulha de Chama
  • 1 HGSS deck Conflito de Crescimento
  • 1 Politoed special card
  • 1 Copaguinho's cell phone key ring

Revelado Theme Decks

Two Theme Decks were released with the Revelado (English: Unleashed) expansion on September 26, 2011, each featuring three types. The Controle do Caos Theme Deck, centered around Tyranitar, featured  ,   and   type Pokémon. The Sentinela de Aço theme deck, centered around Steelix featured  ,   and   type Pokémon. The decks featured the Darkness and Metal Pokémon due to no Pokémon of this type being included in the HeartGold & SoulSilver expansion. Each Theme Deck contained a rulebook, damage counters, status counters, a custom coin, one single-player mat, and a deckbox.

Revelado Facebook cultural contest

From September 27 to October 10, 2011, Copag hold a daily contest on Facebook giving out 5 Revelado Boosters per day (except in the weekend). To participate, people had to guess correctly the name of the Pokémon silhouette or answer correctly a question posted on Copag's Facebook wall. The first five people to guess correctly received one booster for free. Each person could only get one booster per question, but may have gotten one every day. On the last day, two questions were made, and the first people to answer them correctly received a Revelado deck The winners were contacted over private message and the Boosters would be sent within a period of 30 days.
