Release information
This card was first released as a Japanese Unnumbered Promotional card with artwork by Toshinao Aoki and was available through the Pokémon Card Fan Club from April 2000 until the end of December 2002. In order to obtain it, members had to earn a total of 500 GET Points. It was later reprinted in English as one of the Wizards Black Star Promos with different artwork by Kagemaru Himeno and was available through the Pokémon League in June 2000. A Non Holofoil version of the English print was later released in Japan as a promotional card and was awarded to passengers for completing the gold course of the JR East Pokémon Stamp Rally 2000, which was held on the network between August 1 and 20, 2000.
The Pokémon Power leading text in the Chain Reaction Pokémon Power leaves off the accent mark, causing it to read "Pokemon Power".
Preliminary images of the Pokémon Card Fan Club GET Point redemption prizes published in Volume 4 of Pokémon Card Trainers magazine displayed the Japanese Unnumbered Promotional print as using the Original Series card layout. The following volume displayed the correct Neo Series layout for the launch of the campaign.
The Japanese Unnumbered Promotional print features the Pokémon Card Fan Club "GET" campaign logo in place of an expansion symbol.
The text on the bottom of the Japanese Unnumbered Promotional print's border reads: "Pokémon Card Fan Club special card."
