Effect

Constrict inflicts damage and has a 10% chance of lowering the target's Speed stat by one stage.

RSEColo.XD Constricts to inflict pain. May lower Speed.
FRLG The foe is attacked with long tentacles or vines. It may lower Speed.
DPPtHGSS The foe is attacked with long, creeping tentacles or vines. It may also lower the target's Speed.
BWB2W2 The target is attacked with long, creeping tentacles or vines. It may also lower the target's Speed stat.
XYORAS The target is attacked with long, creeping tentacles or vines. This may also lower the target's Speed stat.
SM The target is attacked with long, creeping tentacles, vines, or the like. This may also lower the target’s Speed stat.

Trivia

  • Constrict, along with Triple Kick and Magnitude, has the lowest base power of all damage-dealing moves.
    • In Triple Kick's case, however, this only applies to the first hit, as the following move gains 10 more base power with each successful hit.
    • In Magnitude's case, this only applies to Magnitude 4. Other numbers have higher power.
