Willie (Japanese: ウイリー Willie) is a Rider who appears in Pokémon Colosseum. He first meets Wes at the Outskirt Stand where he is sitting at a table in the restaurant area. He predicts that Wes is a strong Trainer who would beat him in a battle. Eventually, when Wes leaves the stand, Willie challenges him to a battle, which Wes wins.

Willie will challenge Wes again after Wes has reached Pyrite Town. A third battle can be fought with him after Wes has Snagged all 48 Shadow Pokémon.

Willie stands outside the train at Outskirt Stand for the duration of the game. He is the first Trainer that the player may face. Unlike most male Riders, Willie has a unique appearance, having being pink hair and slightly differently-colored clothes.

Willie also battles the player at the Outskirt Stand in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. He is the only Trainer in the game outside of Colosseum challenges to have battle music from the original game.

Trivia

• His name might come from "wheelie", a vehicle maneuver where the front wheel comes off the ground. His quotes before battling and his trainer class (Rider) corroborate this, which seem to imply he drives some sort of motorized vehicle.
