:I don't have any knowledge on why, other than what you've noticed already. That said, if a wiki 'falls over' as it were, it's most frequently due to a lack of input from the community. That's also why Bulbapedia doesn't actively start new wikis for EP - if the community support needed to survive is there, then they'll make it themselves.
