Hmm, I like the idea. It might also fit nicely into an existing policy, if not as it's own page.

Also, horay first proposed policy since the category's creation! -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:42, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

We should really have a second look at this; it's increasingly important as we approach HGSS, and an eventual Gen V--and as our userbase grows. -- evkl (need to talk?) 04:02, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Even if it's something as short and simple as "Bulbapedia:Speculation Policy - DON'T DO IT", I think it would be worth having. Not all policies need to be big to get their point across. And the point here is an important one; important enough that we might be best off with a full policy page for it, instead of only putting it into the MoS or something. (which would have been my first choice, but to be honest, most editors don't seem to enjoy reading manuals.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:16, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I think this is good to go. Soliciting votes. -- evkl (need to talk?) 03:51, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Bad grammar notice

Could you please change "Besides, if we put something, and then somebody else picks it up, and passes it along, the entire community will be flooded with the information, and if the information turns out to be wrong, then Bulbapedia will lose its hard-earned credibility." to "Besides, if we add a piece of information, and then somebody else picks it up and passes it along, the entire community will be flooded with the information. If the information turns out to be false, then Bulbapedia will lose its hard-earned credibility. "? Sorry, I just think the grammar is inconsistent. Thanks! ?????? 01:03, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
