Welcome to Bulbapedia, TheFatPanda!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --レシイラムtalk 13:46, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Editing user page

Hey, it says I need to make edits to existing articles before it can let me edit my user page . I've already been doing just that since I signed up and it's still not letting me. Help? TheFatPanda (talk) 15:24, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Yes, you need to make a certain number of edits before you can edit your userpage. Your account must also reach a certain age before you are automatically moved to the autoconfirmed category. Your primary goal shouldn't be creating a userpage anyway, it should be contributing to the encyclopedia. --ZestyCactus 16:04, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Creating pages

Please don't just create a page however way you like. You must first create it in your userspace, the staff will then determine if the page is notable or not. You're page is now at: User:TheFatPanda/List of Pre-Generation Pokémon Introductions in the Anime.--ForceFire 03:06, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Oh right. Sorry. Coming from a wiki where the rules are slightly different, I tend to forget not everything flows in the same way here. Need to do a closer revision of the rules me thinks. TheFatPanda (talk) 14:38, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Link templates

Diamond and Pearl trivia

I can see why you might disagree, but that trivia you added is just a repeat of what is already stated. The Best Wishes series has two arcs, Unova and Decolore Islands. Just because a new title was given tot he episodes, it doesn't mean it starts a brand new arc. He is still traveling in Unova, therefore the same journey. This is perfectly evident with XY&Z. It's not a new arc at all. Ash is still journeying through Kalos to earn his last Gym Battle and Serena still has to win another showcase. It's the same journey/story arc. Even so, the XY series is still airing and we don't know what will happen. They could have another anime only region. It's too early to call as XY is still airing. --HoennMaster 06:01, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

And to add on this, Bulbapedia may be labeling these new subtitles as "arcs", but going by this definition as you are, the AG series breaks your rule. Either way, the point is not true. --HoennMaster 06:04, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Berrenta (talk) 22:26, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

No offense but a lot of these rules are just so...anal! I just don't feel safe editing anymore because it seems whenever I edit something I'm not doing right or something. TheFatPanda (talk) 03:55, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Again, please remember to make use of the preview button, and that you can click "edit this page" at the top of the page instead of doing little edits to several sections individually. We don't want to pressure you. We just want to help you learn some better editing practices. Tiddlywinks (talk) 14:18, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

Talk page policy

Please do not respond to discussions that are years old. You're less likely to get a response that way. If you need your concerns to be addressed, you can create a brand-new section on the talk page. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:31, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
