Welcome to Bulbapedia, Swiftgallade46!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Trivia

Hi, please don't add trivia, as it says on the top notice and focus on editing something else. Thanks. Jellotalk 15:36, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Spelling

Hey, just wanted to remind you that Pokémon should always be spelled with an é, not an e. Thanks Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 01:55, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Article advice

First things first, exploring Bulbapedia:Welcome a bit might be useful. Some of the links there may not be the most helpful for creating and formatting a good page, though. =P Help:Editing may be the most useful thing there, possibly A guide to Bulbapedia, too. Wikipedia's similar pages might also be useful, like Wikipedia:Help desk (particularly some of those links at the top)...but they could also be broader than is applicable to Bulbapedia.

(If some of this is stuff you already well understand, I apologize.)

Creating a page! This is pretty simple. You can go to your userpage, User:Swiftgallade46, and then type "/" and a page name after it, like User:Swiftgallade46/test. This will put you at a "sub page" of your userpage (a page in your userspace), and from there you can click on the "create" link and start trying to make a page. (Remember to make good use of the preview button as much as you can, so you're not saving all the time for little things!) As a quick note, Bulbapedia asks, as a rule, that new pages be created in the userspace first and then approved by staff to be moved to and used in the mainspace. (You can ask a staff member on their talk page when your page is ready, or you can also put the {{mainspace}} template at the top of your page with the status=complete parameter and just wait...if you can be really patient sometimes. =P )

I don't have Pokken so I can't really tell what's important about an arena and should be on a page about it, or how the page should be structured. Can you tell me, are all arenas a lot the same? Or are there special characteristics to them? (Like, is your choice of arena pretty much just scenery, or is there any way that the choice might affect how you fight?) If they're mostly the same/scenery, then a basic list of arenas might actually be best. But trying to create a page for a single arena won't hurt either way, really. You can just try writing whatever you think is interesting about it, and you don't have to worry about formatting or structure if you don't want to. (Everyone has to start somewhere, just dive in and do whatever you can think of. =P That's practically what userpages are meant for.) I'd be happy to just take a look and give some suggestions about organization or whatever.

If there's any thing in specific you want to ask about, feel free.
