I've got a huge idea. Since there are problems with the types I suggest to be made a separate template for types without the dash. And I think we should make use of the <nowiki>{{type}}</nowiki>, therefore a <nowiki>{{type|Fire}}</nowiki> would be Fire type and <nowiki>{{type2|Fire}}</nowiki> would be Fire-type ? Plus, regardless of what you do if you write <nowiki>{{type2|Fire|Fire type}}</nowiki> it still adds the dash.
