Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Matty19892009!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

Our friendly team of staff are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

On Bulbapedia, the ability to edit personal userpages is a privilege. Per our userpage policy, this must be earned by first making constructive edits to the mainspace. Once you can, remember to keep userspace edits (edits to User:Matty19892009) to a minimum.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

This...

...Is what you need to do to make a good article. Read this, all the other policies, and lurk a little more. Familiarize yourself with the English language. Generally, we like it when people use correct spelling and grammar on here. So yeah, your article was deleted, but pretty much everyone has their stuff reverted when they first register, because they don't know what they're doing. You're not being singled out. A good place to start, after you read that stuff, is to contribute to articles that already exist rather than creating new ones. It'll help further familiarize you with how things work and give you an opportunity to edit without getting a whole page deleted if you mess up. Welcome to Bulbapedia, hope you like it and decide to stay. --P o L i 19:18, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Werdnae (talk) 19:41, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh, sorry i must have got a bit carried away. (Matty19892009 19:43, 20 October 2010 (UTC))

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User: namespace too much. In the past, no one was allowed to edit their userpages because some users were over-editing their own userpages. Your personal editing privileges can be taken away, so please do not edit your page any more for now. Instead, how about helping contribute to some of Bulbapedia's many articles? Thank you. ----Cold (talk) 20:47, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Regarding talk pages

You do not need to mention where you're editing and what edit you've made in the talk pages. Just a summary within the edit (as seen on the bottom) is fine. ht14 21:23, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
