Welcome to Bulbapedia, LimeGreenCharizard!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Categories...

They go on the bottom of the page. Not the top. Ataro 22:07, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I fixed it. LimeGreenCharizard 22:19, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
Any reason you re-added that category to Rest and Protect? I removed them because NOT every Pokémon that can learn TMs can learn them; specifically, Regigigas. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 22:23, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
Could you please stop adding that category for a bit, it needs a shorter, less confusing name before we add it everywhere. Thanks. Werdnae (talk) 22:25, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 18:09, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

I do use the preview button. I can't help it if I see another mistake after I save. But thanks for the help, anyway. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 04:56, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
We all have those days. But please try to be more careful. You've repeatedly saved the Menu article quite a bit already. Thank you. --ケンジガール 11:03, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Creating new pages

Hi LimeGreenCharizard. Thanks for your recent edits. When you create a new page, though, you need to categorize it so that it can be sorted in the database. For the page, you created, Markings, I've added the [[Category:Equipment]] (although I'm not sure that's the best category). Additionally, you should try and link new pages in wiki articles where possible. Thanks for reading. —darklordtrom 05:45, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

The reason for not categorizing it was for the same reason, I couldn't think of, for the life of me, where it would go. And as for the linking thing, I absolutely did that, and do that as much as possible whenever editing. So...I'm not sure what more you want from me. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 06:07, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
Hi, all I was looking for was a few more links to the article around the place. But now that you've merged it into the larger article, that is no longer required. Cheers, —darklordtrom 06:28, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

WTP

I noticed that you and Jo are having issues resolving the Who's That Pokémon naming convention. As you know, edit warring is frowned upon here and issues should be resolved on talk pages. I suggest starting a discussion on the talk page and getting input from others as well as staff. To put my two cents in, according to the Manual of Style, English names are used except for translating Japanese lines, such as in episode titles. Thanks! --rockersk08 04:07, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Well, I'm not going to be the one to go through and change probably about 85% of the episodes that features a difference of a Who's that Pokémon? from the original to the dub. Personally, I think it makes sense listing the Japanese names. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 04:11, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
I mentioned the issue to Kenji-girl when I first started working on my Who's That Pokémon project, and she said to make all the Dare De? names in English. I mentioned this statement here, and it would be helpful if you would comply with what the head of anime wants to have done rather than trying to fight with me. If you don't want to help change names to English, so be it. But don't make things more difficult for those who are trying to change things. Please understand. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:15, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
It's not that I don't want to help, but it should all be uniform. The episodes I edited were probably the last to be in English. So, if mine are the only ones you're going to change, then you should also change the other, maybe, 150 of them. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 04:19, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
I don't mind changing them. It's just I've been busy with real life and only worked on WTP in my spare time, often right before I went to sleep. So it's not like I had the time or energy to devote myself to changing all the names myself. I had hoped some people would catch on to what I was doing and pitch in a helping hand. But I've got free time now, I'll just go ahead and get them done. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:35, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Attitude

Serious adjustment. If you don't like what someone's done, ask why they have done that. Do not demand, especially if said user is a staff member. Telling someone that you are going to ignore their opinion and continue regardless is also definitely not on. If something gets you that annoyed, take a step back and take a breather. It's not worth getting angry about. Werdnae (talk) 04:23, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

No attitude. Just trying to encourage uniformity throughout similar articles. I've been drastically misinterpreted. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 04:26, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Alright, that's fine. Maybe just say things a bit more carefully next time - there's no tone of voice on the internet, so things can get misinterperted more easily. Werdnae (talk) 04:30, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
I understand. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 04:32, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Hey...

I know everyone has those days, but you have to slow down on your editing. Identify what you are trying to edit before you start, seven edits to a page in a row should never happen. Remember to preview. Have a good day! --Pokemaster97 20:04, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks

For the help, Charizard!BUT, I already received help, but it is appreciated. Want to be friends?Char102(talk) 03:01, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Trivia asking

You know, if you need to ask something, don't post it on eight different pages. It's really pointless as only one will most likely get a response. Ataro 15:08, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Just covering my bases. OCD and such. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 15:09, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Unsigned comments

It's not a huge deal when comments from years ago aren't signed (especially 2005). If they were missed, they were missed and it's not really important any more. I'm just telling you this so you don't waste your time doing things that are essentially pointless :) —darklordtrom 10:29, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

I was just bored. I was really just cleaning up the pages where there were sections without headings, and there were some unsigned comments. --LimeGreenCharizard-- 17:52, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Talk

Hello,LimeGreenCharizard. My editions on Rock (type) was unnecessary? Pokémon Trainer Levelop 23:12, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

Look, we can't just go around listing stuff like this. If we listed which types could dominate over each species, we would have a lot of useless trivia. If anything, something like that would go on Torterra's page. Also, you really should brush up on your grammar. LimeGreenCharizard 00:32, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. Pokémon Trainer Levelop 12:08, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Orange Islands Butterfree

I don't understand why you have removed the bit stating Buterfree is of the Orange Islands variant on EP094 and EP099. Its extremely misleading to claim that its just a Butterfree. And this is done for other Shiny and alternately colored Pokemon (examples include Pink Butterfree, Crystal Onix, Ash's Lapras's mother, Red Gyarados, Shiny Shuckle, and more). Vuvuzela2010 Δ 01:39, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

I already added it back. I didn't remove it on one of them, and removed the other trying to be uniform. Chill. LimeGreenCharizard 01:41, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't realise. Never mind :) Vuvuzela2010 Δ 01:45, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Doduo

Look the descripition of this picture. u_u

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Doduo_anime.png --Hikaru Wazana11:37- 11 November 2011

My apologies for butting in. It is indeed Gary's Doduo but I think it's unnecessary to use two pics in a single info box. It looks kind of odd, causes the unnecessary blank space and expands the template in an odd manner. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 11:43, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Butterfree

I'm not entirely sure what your problem is. I tried, as nicely as possible, to correct a problem on a page -- and it was a problem that a lot of wikis run into. Assumptions, even ones that seem valid/obvious, are still assumptions, and it's irresponsible to list them as facts. And you told me that I was wrong because I was "a newbie with seven edits." There are plenty of ways that situation could have been handled maturely, and that was not one of them. Got2Hands 07:33, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

If you look at the page's history, Kenji-girl JUST made that edit. LimeGreenCharizard 15:02, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for butting in, but Got2Hands has a point. Even if he was wrong you could have gone about addressing it more nicely. Just becasue someone's a newbie with seven edits doesn't mean they can't be right about something. Everyone's human and makes mistakes don't be rude about it. --Pokemaster97 16:12, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
I've brought this issue up on Talk:Ash's Butterfree to try and sort this out. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 16:24, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
It's not because he's a "newbie", it's because I'd take Kenji-girl's word over his. Rudeness is very hard to place in textual form...think that over. LimeGreenCharizard 04:16, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
Yes I did think about it. It is sometimes hard to tell. That's why people must be careful with word choice because it can sometimes be interepreted as something not intended. I know what you meant by it though, I'm not trying to a jerk or something. --Pokemaster97 15:20, 20 November 2011 (UTC)
