Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Kirochi!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

The Userspace Policy says that you should keep userspace edits (edits to User:Kirochi) to a minimum, and outlines a few other guidelines for your userspace.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Signature

Sig test.--K ) (talk)

Your signature must reflect your username. Please change it to reflect "Kirochi" (without having to mouseover). You can test your signature by using the preview button, so you don't need to save the page. --SnorlaxMonster 13:36, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I thought this wasn't an issue, as users such as Umeko had apparently cryptic sigs and no one seemed to be bothered.
Thanks for the advice. I'll change it.--K ) (talk) 14:31, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Better now?--KIROCHI) (talk) 14:33, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah yours is fine now. Umeko's signature actually says "Umeko" in Japanese. --SnorlaxMonster 01:10, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Well, I guessed so, but like most people here I can't read Japanese, and a lot of people could say they know me by "K)" and would instantly understand "Kirochi" by seeing that. Policy needs to be clearer.--KIROCHI) (talk) 11:00, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I should have actually linked you to the policy which is here. It actually covers foreign languages too. If you really like just K), you may be able to get away with it if you checked with Jioruji Derako first (who is in-charge of this kind of thing). --SnorlaxMonster 11:06, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
All right, thanks; I like that new one actually, and this isn't Wikipedia or WoWwiki, I guess that new sig could represent a new start.--KIROCHI) (talk) 11:23, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Usertags

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a usertag policy, which states that all new usertags should be created in the userspace, where they must be aproved before moving into the template namespace. I can tell that your intentions were good, and that this usertag is a potentially useful one, but please remember this in the future. I suggest that you move Template:User BlackBerry‎ to your userspace and use it from there. --SnorlaxMonster 11:54, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

Oh snap, I knew I should've asked first :/ I'll move it asap!--KIROCHI) (talk) 12:51, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Did I do it by the book?--KIROCHI) (talk) 13:20, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, you're fine now. Thanks. --SnorlaxMonster 01:40, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Code of conduct and redlinks

Hi Kirochi. I'd like to draw your attention to our code of conduct. In a nutshell, this asks every BP user to play nice and respect others. This recent edit summary was inappropriate. Please mind your tone and language in future.

As you are familiar with wikis, I'll assume you know what a redlink is. Bulbapedia discourages redlinks to made-up pages, such as "Pokémon Hoarder". The template you are using on your userpage autolinks as it was designed for the mainspace. As you are linking to a made-up Trainer class, you are creating a redlink. PsychicRider removed this as it caused a problem; I'll ask that you use legitimate Trainer classes in future. Thanks. —darklordtrom 11:09, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Well, I don't see how one profanity word defiles the whole code of conduct. As such, I consider I've been rather polite with this summary. If you deem my attitude preposterous or demeaning to this user who just abided by the policy, then I'll pay my excuses to him and the whole institution below.
As for the issue itself, I intended on creating userspace-borne related pages for each invented class, of course without doing too many modifications to my userspace compared to my mainspace actions. I hope this solution suits you and the Wantedpages patrollers.
Excuse me, PsychicRider and all the people who swear by Bulbapedia's rules. I shall now address to you as if I were a Care Bear :)--KIROCHI) (talk) 11:26, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Is the new way I handled my fake trainer class acceptable (besides the fact that I did too much userspace modifications today, which wouldn't have happened if I had done it firstly)?--KIROCHI) (talk) 20:46, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
It wasn't the profanity, it was the way you were addressing PsychicRider. Yes, linking to a subpage is fine. Provided you don't have any noncanon pages in the mainspace, you're ok. Next time, try and remember to stay within the userspace limits. *official warning* —darklordtrom 12:21, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
