Episode pictures directly on articles

Please don't put episode pictures directly on other articles. Right now, I'm doing a project to avoid that. If you would like to put an episode pic on a page, please uploaded a duplicate under a safer name. We don't want another Protect accident! --Theryguy512 14:00, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Cricket

Yep, saw my home test on the TV. Shame us Aussies couldn't get 17 in a row, but India just played better.

What do you reckon about Irfan Pathan opening instead of Jaffer? Glinn 00:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Kenny's Breloom

Just to be fair, I didn't "get rid" of it, I redirected it.

But back to the point, it was because nobody on the talk page supported it. Also, one of the points you made is one of the reasons I justified my redirection of it; it appeared in two consecutive episodes. Now, had it appeared in two completely unrelated episodes, I might have seen it differently. But one of my policies in regards to keeping an article is the span of episodes it covered, and whether they were consecutive or not. That's why I do not support Drew's Absol, Harley's Octillery or Harley's Wigglytuff having articles, because they only appeared during the Kanto Grand Festival. Theoretically, those three episodes can be considered as one, since they all technically multiple-part episodes. It's the same reason I justified redirecting Breloom. Plus, it had been deleted once before, and really didn't need to be recreated, even if it did inspire Ash to teach Turtwig how to use Energy Ball. If we used that as a policy, then we would have to create an article on Natasha's Grovyle, since that's what inspired Ash to teach Bullet Seed to Treecko. That, and the fact that Kenny is a secondary character, and not all of their Pokémon deserve articles (Gary, for example).

I do, however, agree with your sentiments on Kenny's Alakazam. --PAK Man Talk 20:23, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Toxicroak

Thanks for the comment, but you have to understand that it is a double standart to tell ME not to edit the article when it is allowed for others to call it shiny when it isn´t confirmed. What´s so bad about calling it "speculated to be shiny". because it is right. nobody really knows. why are the people who call it shiny in the right position? I will post my thoughts about it in the bulbagarden forums because I can´t stand this situation anymore. Why can´t you listen to someone who has seen the episode and has lots of arguments for it being not a shiny? People who repeat themselves over and over again, saying ""LOL, look at the sprites" don´t have a point. just look at ariados or bellosoms GS sprite and tell me the anime-version of it are a alternate color... - unsigned comment from DocDoak (talkcontribs)

I know what you want to say, but I´m not here to be liked. I am here because I want to make sure that the truth is written in the articles. we don´t know if it is shiny or not. so we can not say that it is shiny. end of story.

btw, why do you think that it is shiny? the toys of it look just like the anime art, nobody called it shiny, the pokedex which always shows a normal-pokemon showed the "shiny" toxicroak. what is the problem? Anyway, thanks for your kind words. DocDoak

HSOWA

Stop edit-warring. Several admins have stated before that the dan-sprite is fine for this specific article, and I personally agree. The entire article is fan-content. The sprite should stay. --electAbuzzzz 15:42, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey

Forgot to ask... Which class are you in? 11th? ICSE? CBSE? Government school?--Diby 13:09, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Rayquaza confusion

Yes, you were right. Rayquaza (anime) is the main article. However, as in the case of Deoxys and Suicune, should we move it to Rayquaza (Destiny Deoxys)? After all, more Rayquaza may appear in the future.--Diby 18:23, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

We can do that when more Rayquaza appear. Till then this is the only Rayquaza that exists. Jmath 18:25, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Sprites

Don't remove the special sprites that were made for a characters Pokémon. The users of Bulbapedia have agreed that they should be allowed. Don't remove them again. --ケンジガール 02:42, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

One more thing. Take a look at this. I want to add the togepi egg thing in the Eterna City article. Where can I add it?--Diby 12:35, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Just give a small mention in the introduction. I think that's enough. Jmath 12:39, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I hope you are willing to accept the responsibilities of being an admin if and when you become one because I nominated you.--Diby 13:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Nicknames

Leave them as they are. When you decided to fix Caserin, you linked to Luvdisc the Pokémon rather than Caserin himself. If you look at every trainer with a nicknamed Pokémon you'll see that we use that system. --ケンジガール 02:33, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Redlinks

Red links should be there. They are what puts the article on the wanted pages. If there are no red links, then no one knows the article is needed. So don't remove anymore redlinks, please. MoldyOrange 14:56, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Ash's Bulbasaur

Why do you keep deleting the whole Constrict error bit? If Pokemon in the anime that know moves they can't in the games aren't notable, then this would've been deleted long ago. I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 19:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

I am not talking about errors. According to the games, if Ditto as Bulbasaur uses an attack, it means the one it is copying also knows the attack. But that can't be said for the anime. As long as Bulbasaur didn't use the move at any time, then we can't include it.- Jmath 19:41, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
But there is evidence that Transform works in the Anime as it does in the games. Duplica told her Ditto to use Hydro Pump on Ash's Totodile after Transforming into said Totodile. Ditto's attempt to Hydro Pump failed, and Duplica deduced from this that Ash's Totodile did not know Hydro Pump. Ergo, if Ditto's inability to use Hydro Pump when transformed into Totodile had Duplica learn that Ash's Totodile didn't know the move, then it is certain that Transform only copies moves that the target knows. This happened in Imitation Confrontation, BTW. I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 19:47, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
But that Ditto-Bulbasaur episode was one of the early Episodes of the anime. They never followed the games in that. Bulbasaur using Whirlwind is a good example. Jmath 19:52, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Which brings us back to this. There are errors as recent as DP076. A Munchlax used Giga Impact, not even through Metronome. No Munchlax can learn Giga Impact. This page is proof that the anime has been consistantly inconsistant from the start to the present. And how about Sullivan and that Whiscash? Pokemon in the games do not swallow Poké Balls, least of all a Master Ball. And this inconsistancy is inconsistant with another inconsistancy- May capturing Munchlax from the inside out. I could go on for hours, but I'd rather not. So to summarize, the anime's chock-full of inconsistancies, and if an early episode shows a Ditto transforming into a Bulbasaur and using Constrict, then that Bulbasaur knows Constrict. I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 19:58, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Since the anime is inconsistent like you mentioned, its possible the writers didn't think about game logic and just made Ditto use a move. That's why unless Bulbasaur uses the move, it doesn't have it. Jmath 20:03, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Very well. But I still think it at least deserves a mention in the trivia. I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 20:05, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Bulbasaur and Constrict

Please use an edit summary if you're gonna remove legitimate content.

Also, don't mark your edits as minor unless they truely are minor. Minor edits are edits that are either:

  1. Edits reverting vandalism.
  2. Edits that don't change what someone would read on the page.

Removing about 500 characters does change what people would read, so it's not minor. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:12, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Pieman6666=sockpuppet of Politoed666?

What do you think?--Diby 11:00, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

We can't be sure that it is a sockpuppet. Someone will have to check the IP addresses. Jmath 11:28, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
I contacted an admin. He told to contact another admin and wait till he makes any move which may bring disrepute to Politoed.--Diby 11:31, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Just watch that guy. Jmath 11:33, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
The names aren't very similar (Pieman =/= Politoed), and 666 (or 6666) is a fairly generic set of numbers. I don't think it's anything more then coincidence. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:03, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Plus, why would an admin create a sockpuppet account? --PAK Man Talk 04:17, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I don't think he meant "sockpuppet". He was worried about something like Johnny Rebel's impersonations. --((Marton imos)) 06:24, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Alright. I started this and let me clear the confusion. I have deep respect for Politoed666 as he is an experienced admin of Bulbapedia. Neither do I think that he will create sockpuppet accounts. What I meant to say was that the new user's name sounded a bit similar to his name and if this new user started to do something bad, it might have brought disrepute to Politoed. So far, he has not done any such thing and I now highly doubt if he ever will. I apologise to P666 if this has hurt him. I didn't want to cause any trouble or accuse anyone.--Diby 06:31, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Drake's Dragonite

Since I am new to Bulbapedia, I'll write a comment on your user talk page saying that Drake's Dragonite used eight moves, not six. It used Water Gun, Ice Beam, Slam and Dragon Rage on Charizard, Water Gun and Thunderbolt on Squirtle, Body Slam and Thunder on Tauros, and Hyper Beam on Pikachu before finally being taken out with Pikachu's Thunder attack. Watch the episode again, if you don't believe me. - unsigned comment from Hmdwgf (talkcontribs)

Machop's armpit farts

WHY, dare I ask, do you think something such as that doesn't belong in the trivia section? If not there, then where? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 23:14, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Because it may be possible that's not what it's doing... It's an opinion like Palkia's shiny back sprite is phallic imagery. --ケンジガール 06:06, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Pre-release

After reading your letter regarding the incident, I decided to let you off early. However, I hope you now know the rule regarding edit wars and take any disagreement to a talk page instead. -- MAGNEDETH 02:37, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

DP060

Yes, the title screen did say Unknown in the first airing, but this was corrected in future airings, as it says at the bottom of the page.

Talk Page Comments

Please don't erase talk page comments for no reason. Trust me, you do NOT want to end up like Big Johnno, who got into an edit war with a sysop over comments the former had erased and was trying to keep erased. That user ended up blocked and subsequently had every erased comment restored. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:44, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Dude

Do you wanna be blocked again? If not, please discuss the image on Saturn's Toxicroak. This is a wiki, where we discuss image changes; it is not a place where you can just come and change images without seeing what others think. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 04:01, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Could you please explain what you have against the other picture? I added both pictures to the article because I wanted to stop the argument, yet you still oppose the image I support. Why is that? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 18:41, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Because that pic is really bad. Just because it makes Toxicroak look creepy doesn't make it a instant win. And the article is small, so no multiple images just yet. Jmath 18:45, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
That picture being "bad" is your opinion. And who said we can't have multiple images just because the article is small? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 18:47, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Its not only my opinion. And we don't have multiple images for a small page because it's just going to clutter it. Jmath 18:51, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
How exactly will it "clutter" it? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 18:52, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Then a page becomes more pictures than actual content. Jmath 18:57, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Bull. There's still way more text than images. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 03:28, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Second warning

Please do not erase comments from your talk page. This is the second time you have been told this. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 14:05, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Final warning

This is your final warning. Stop removing content from your talk page, or you will be temporarily blocked. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 14:21, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Saturn's Toxicroak

During the edit war, u didn't consider Tc26's pic, so that wasn't fair. His pic was supposed to act as a compromise to END the edit war. I thought it was much better than the two in discussion. So, to prevent another edit war, I ask you: Can I put his up instead of the Dark Pulse? --- unsigned comment from Kuki (talkcontribs)

Just ask an admin. If they like it, keep the pic. Anyway, I still like the Dark Pulse pic better. Jmath 21:42, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Pics where Pokémon is the focus goes on Pokémon pages and the other way where people get the focus. Jmath 16:13, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

I've taken a look at both images...and I believe Kuki's looks much better for the article. When comparing the two, a nice screenshot is much better than an awkward vertical image. Also, the amount of artifacts on the first image are unpleasing to view. It has a nice sense of balance to it as well. -Sketch 16:48, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
