No problem. Now to just get them all written out before D/P... Right? Tom Temprotran 07:30, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Psst. Response on my talk page. Tom Temprotran 03:58, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

The color code I changed was for the generation column I'm adding. I want to make it easy to tell which games are grouped together, so the ones that just say "Trade" don't need further explanation on which games the Pokémon is available from. The light color shows that best, I think. Anyway, as far as uploading images goes, if there's a lot of useful images you plan to be uploading, talk to Zhen. Otherwise, I will upload some images for users without accounts on request. --Pie 07:16, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Feel free to mail 'em to me at either address listed in the Contact section of my user page. --Pie 07:33, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

The images have been uploaded. However, there was no icons for Other moves or for the different Contest types. Just to complete the set, could you send me those as well? --Pie 07:03, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. Everything should be uploaded, and with the same filename you used - however, I converted them to .gif since .bmp is not high on the list of preferred filetypes due to the size of said files. (Also, this way, the corners are transparent.) --Pie 08:27, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm not uploading the menu sprites to encourage people to use them in even more tables, you know. I'm uploading them to replace them in the tables with obnoxiously large 80x80 sprites. --Pie 05:37, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, but you've gotta remember, images are not always useful and can in fact interfere with the clarity of information. Text may not be as visually interesting, but our primary goal is to inform. If you're going to add them - wait until I have them all uploaded, because the name of a file is always obnoxious, and just add them before the name of the Pokémon rather than making a separate column for them - and most importantly, make sure the table is clear. The numbers are ambiguous without the "Lv." before them, particularly the 0's. And the lists we had before had the advantage of not stretching the page vertically. --Pie 05:53, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
"What do you think if I remove the name and leave the image and instead add a link to the Moveset part of each generation in that Pokemon page?" - NO. Don't even consider it. The name of the Pokémon is much more important than the appearance of the Pokémon in tables. It's not bad if a list stretches the page with information - it is bad if a long list is stretched by unrelated information, such as sprites. And generally, the dashes are understood - but for the start, it's usually style to put "Start" as opposed to "Lv. ##". --Pie 06:09, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Stop. Look, I'm discussing the issue with Zhen Lin - in short, he's even less happy with the number of sprites as I. I'm discussing what number of sprites is a reasonable compromise. However, we're both in agreement that you're messing up the formatting on the Move articles. Take a break from trying to wedge sprites in everywhere while we work this out. This is not a request, this is an order. --Pie 08:23, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

No. The fact that you're removing the generation divisions is in itself part of the problem you're causing, since the move effects vary by generation as well. --Pie 08:27, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
But you're taking out the generation parts overall, and I think it's very arguable the move articles are best organized this way. And you're still missing my point about ambiguity - "S" is even more vague than "0", and there's more than enough room in the tables you're making to write out "Start" or "Lv. 7" (with a link to Level) rather than "S" or "7".
I know you're trying to help, and I'm the last person who would say working on the visual presentation is unuseful. But you've really got to keep in mind when you cross a line and you're sacrificing information for style. In fact, if you do such, you actually lose style because the information looks sloppy. --Pie 08:39, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
It's all right. I'm not going to lie, I am frustrated right now - but I think it's partly leftover from our most recent giant problem user and partly the fact that I'm doing everything I can to make reasonable compromises on sprite usage, formatting, organization... etc. I know there unhappiness with having too many sprites everywhere and I don't think there'd be a lot of happiness over restricting use of sprites entirely (and, in fact, I'm not sure if I would be happy with it myself). We'll work something out and make it clear as we can about what we consider acceptable and non-acceptable. Okay? --Pie 08:53, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

An edit of mine that you undid.

I made this edit and then you undid it. I'm just curious as to why you undid it. In my opinion, mentioning Wormadam once is better than three times, and that's what my edit accomplished.
