Gold and Silver Remakes

It is popularly believed that remakes of the Generation II games, Pokémon Gold and Silver, will be produced.

Generation III It all started out soon after the release of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen on the Game Boy Advance, due to them being a remake of the original Game Boy games, Pokémon Red and Green, causing many to expect remakes of Gold and Silver. This theory, however, was not supported by many things. However, believing was still popular, and some fan remakes were attempted (such as ShinyGold made by Zel at PokéCommunity, still in progress - and Pokémon Crystal Aurora made by Nekomata Yôkai at the PCA Forums, still in progress). On April Fool's Day 2004, PKMN.NET doctored false screenshots and attributed them to CoroCoro comics. The image depicts the daycare on Route 34.

Generation IV With the release of Diamond and Pearl and the start of Generation IV, most began to believe that the remakes were going to be for the Nintendo DS. Unlike with the Generation III era, however, this was supported by several things, such as a news report on the red Gyarados, Jasmine's appearance in Sunyshore City, the mention of Professor Elm's report about eggs, Cynthia's SecretPotion (which, in its in-bag description, mentions Cianwood City), and the Park Balls, which are gold and silver in color, with a light blue band across their middle. The strongest point is, however, that hidden in-game data shows that the games have a possibility of trading with Johto-based games.

Recently, a fake CoroCoro scan has been spread; it erroneously refers to Professor Elm (Japanese: ウツギ博士 Dr. Utsugi) as Professor Rowan (Japanese: ナナカマド博士 Dr. Nanakamado).

Pokemon Farm Channel

ポケモン牧場チャンネル Pokémon Farm Channel is a Wii Channel that was confirmed for WiiWare at Nintendo's fall 2007 conference. The only known gameplay details so far are that Pokémon can be transferred from Diamond and Pearl and grow up in a farm. It was developed by Ambrella. It is unknown whether the Pokémon actually gain leves or stats, or just gain a score of the Wii. Other screenshots show a picture system, which may let users take pictures to store on the Wii, another screenshot shows a Mii patting the head of a Pikachu.
