==The problem with Riolu/Lucario== | |||
I've noticed that many people seem to think that Ash's recently caught Gligar will be dumped at Oak's for a new egg that Ash recieves. The egg hatches into Riolu, and that evolves into Lucario. However, I do not believe this will be the case. There are a number of reasons for this. Primarily, would people really want to see ''another'' Lucario? Think about it. Maylene has one, Cynthia presumably has one, Riley, if he's in the anime, has one. As well as those, Lucario has also featured in it's own movie. Why would the script writers want another one? Also, if indeed the Johto remakes go ahead, which seems more and more likely, then what's the chance that they'd dump a Gen II Pokémon? Very unlikely. They'd want to showcase that Johto is back with a Johto Pokémon. As well as that, why does Ash need one? Fighting beats Normal, Ice, Rock and Steel, while Steel beats Ice and Rock. However, Chimchar beats Ice and Steel, while Turtwig and Buizel can both beat Rock. Only Normal isn't beaten by them, but anything can beat a Normal. So in essesnce, Ash doesn't need a Lucario, and I don't think the script writers would want to be that predictable anyway. | |||
