Ben is the son of [[Archie]] of [[Team Aqua]], [[Archie]] wanted Ben to be the next leader of [[Team Aqua]]. Ben refused this postion and he ran away from his home in [[Lilycove City]] to [[Littleroot Town]] to start out as a [[trainer]], and to get a Pokémon off of [[Prof Birch]]. Even though he hated his father for controlling [[Water]] Pokémon, he loved them and therefore chose a [[Mudkip]]. Ben then went off too become stronger and collect [[Gym Badges]] and soon one day to foil his father's plans.
