I became a fan of Pokémon when it first came to America in 1998. As far I can recall, my first experience with the franchise was the anime episode Electric Shock Showdown. Needless to say, I was quickly hooked. I joined Bulbapedia in 2007. My primary focus has always been minor tasks, primarily redirects. Most of those tasks get dealt with quickly these days, so I rarely appear as an active member.
To this day, Pokémon remains one of those series I always come back to after long absences. I still enjoy playing the games and Pokémon Adventures remains one of my favorite manga. While I don't regularly keep up with it anymore, I love the direction the anime has gone with XY, Sun & Moon, and Journeys. It's a good time to be a Pokémon fan. And even though I may not make many edits to this place anymore, I will always be thankful for the wonderful resource that is Bulbapedia.
