Uproar (Japanese: さわぐ Clamor) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

Generation III

Uproar will deal 50-power damage for 2-5 turns. During this time, the user cannot use another move. Uproar will negate any attempts to inflict sleep while it is under effect and will wake up any sleeping Pokémon on the field when it starts.

Uproar will immediately stop after failing against a Ghost-type Pokémon or a Pokémon with the Soundproof Ability.

Generation V

Uproar's power changed from 50 to 90 and now lasts exactly 3 turns.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, Uproar does no damage, but causes every party members in the same room to become Sleepless for 10 turns. It wakes up any sleeping party members. It has no effect on Pokémon with the Soundproof ability.
