Towa (Japanese: トワ Towa) is a character from Celebi: Voice of the Forest.

History

File:Towa minus 40.png
Young Towa, 40 years younger

Shortly before Sammy walks into the forest and, via Celebi, gets sent into the future, Towa tells him that if he hears the Voice of the Forest, he should not move or else he will be spirited away to another time. She also gives him a loaf of bread as a parting gift, in case he got hungry while in the forest.

In the present time, Ash and his friends are about to enter the same forest, when a much-older Towa and her granddaughter Diana appear. Again, Towa warns about heading into the forest, claiming it was dangerous. When Ash returns with an unconscious Sammy to Towa and Diana's home, Towa recognizes him as the boy she met when she was younger, citing him as a victim of Celebi's time travel; Sammy in turn makes her as the young woman he had met only earlier that day.

Towa found Sammy's sketchbook in the forest and returns it now that he has reappeared. She also explains about Celebi's role as protector of the area and that it lives in a deep spot in the forest called the Lake of Life.
