Toshihiro Ono

Toshihiro Ono (|小野 敏洋 Ono Toshihiro), born February 27, 1965, is the creator of the manga The Electric Tale of Pikachu. He also wrote and illustrated the Pokémon Tales book Pikachu's Unparalleled Adventure and illustrated the manga adaption of Mewtwo Strikes Back.

Aside from his work with Pokémon, he also illustrated the first two volumes of the Crest of the Stars trilogy. He also writes hentai, including the famous Anal Justice series, under the pen name of Sanpei Kamirenjaku.

The Electric Tale of Pikachu interview with Animerica

Around 1999, Ono had an interview with Animerica, an American association dedicated to anime. They asked him mostly about The Electric Tale of Pikachu and its upcoming final volume. Some of the questions were focussing more on his career as a writer then his personal life. Eventually the question of his illustrations came along. Ono repleid with, "I have had to change most of my artwork for it to get into America."
