(Japanese: テンマ Tenma) is a character of the day who appeared in The Big Balloon Blow-Up. He is Skyler's father. Tenma works inside an air hangar specializing in designing, creating, and flying hot-air balloons.

Tenma

Tenma lent Ash and his friends a Pikachu balloon to use for the upcoming Pokémon Balloon Race, and then explained the rules and aim of the sport. He competed alongside Skyler in the race, and he also coached Ash and his friends through a large gust of wind via walkie-talkie.

The two teams ultimately came in first place, but Ash and his friends were honored by the experience and gave the win to Tenma and his son.

Skyler described Tenma as both an architect and an artist at the same time. Tenma keeps pictures on his studio's walls of all of his Pokémon-inspired creations. He and his son share a passion for hot-air ballooning, and both support each others ambitions.
