So long as this is always used with the subst: call when making a page... TTEchidnaGSDS! 18:37, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, that's why I created it, it will make it easy to create an article about an DP episode. Netto-kun Talk 18:40, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Good. But... on DP0X1, 0X2, 0X3... it'll need to be fixed, or it'll end up as the X1th episode. Sure, it works for 11th, but 21th isn't right... TTEchidnaGSDS! 22:57, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
I know. But this must be fixed when the articles are created. Netto-kun Talk 23:00, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Um, why don't we have Zoey's or at least Paul's Pokémon listed on the template? --Theryguy512 12:18, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Now we have Zoey, Paul and their Pokémon listed there Netto-kun Talk 12:26, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, thanks! --Theryguy512 23:18, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I KNOW ABOUT THIS! THIS WILL MAKE THINGS SO MUCH EASIER!PokeManiac102 03:12, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

May I add something?

I just want to add this at the top.

<!--Please DO NOT upload a screenshot of an event that can spoil the episode or a random unimportant screenshot-->

Some people upload screenshots that completely ruin the episode. Such as that screenshot we had for DP012 were Zoey was holding the Jubilife Ribbon. --ケンジガール 23:32, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Gligar! Wings of Friendship! should not equal Gliscor! Evolution over the Moon! TTEchidna 23:39, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Move this

You should move this, DP098 now exists, and this template is protected --Nick. 07:37, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

The template is for illustration. I just set it as DP099 because it was right before 100 where the number rolls over. TTEchidna 05:22, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Edit request

Please change the following under the heading Pokémon:
* Meowth (Team Rocket)* Meowth (TRM).
Afer all, the use of link templates is an official policy.--Diby 16:15, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Also, please change the text for the Japanese opening to reflect High Touch! 2009. Thanks! --rockersk08 20:11, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

If Piplup's the new Togepi....

Shouldn't its name go above Ash's other Pokémon and be behind Meowth's? --ケンジガール 09:15, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Good idea. We just need the opinions of the others.--Coolピカチュウ! 09:18, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I personally think Fabu-Vinny might have just jinxed everything when it came to Piplup's tendencies. For all we know, it's evolving in DP103 and will rot in its Poké Ball for the next ten episodes. The writers do tend to be sensitive about stuff like this, and Piplup evolving is seen by many fans as long overdue. Not only do I think we should NOT give Piplup a top-billing position, but I'm all for putting the hide tags back around it. --Shiningpikablu252 17:17, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
I personally think Piplup's the new Wobbuffet, not Togepi. There has been episodes in which it did not appear. I agree that it should be on the top of the list, but I also agree that the tags for it should be hidden. Ej92 18:43, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
BTW, speaking of the ones top of the list... I think Mime Jr. should not have been on it. Ej92 18:46, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh come on now! It's been in every episode since DP056. This is stupid. It should stay!. Unless it doesn't show up at all in another episode, then we should remove it. --ケンジガール 05:07, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Personally I would say don't put up anything until the episode has aired, regardless of the preview, but that's just me being cautious. Glinn Mgraw 05:16, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Think about it: Leaving it exposed in the template will only create constant editing multiple times over to switch Piplup from confirmed to unconfirmed, the latter of which is correct until shown otherwise (we're talking no earlier than the previews). And think about it: Piplup DOES have a Poké Ball, in which Togepi never did. It's been seen going inside and out multiple times, and it's NEVER objected to being cooped up (quite unlike Pikachu). On top of that, it's always possible that Piplup could remain in the Poké Ball for the whole episode. I'm sorry, but Piplup gets listed as "unconfirmed" in the template, and in the articles until we actually see it in action in footage for that episode. Saying otherwise will lead to pointless edits and possibly edit wars.
If I WERE to be supporting an action to have Piplup exposed in an initial listing, we'd have to see Piplup's Poké Ball get broken and never fixed; odds are far greater that Piplup evolves in one of next week's episodes, and THAT's something the fans think is long overdue (although I think that Dawn won't be matching Kenny until it evolves all the way to Empoleon). --Shiningpikablu252 16:29, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Piplup is listed before Jessie and James in the movie 11 credits. That's confirmation enough. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 17:39, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Or look at the group shots in the opening: The main cast is clearly being put forward as Ash-Brock-Dawn-Pikachu-Piplup. Yes, Piplup has a Poké Ball but it never lives in it these days - It is always being held by Dawn or walking with Pikachu. Oh, and the movie 12 promotions already has it alongside Pikachu again. Piplup is the DP mascot. There's no way to deny that. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:42, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Edit request

PsychicRider keeps on changing the link Ash Ketchum to Ash in DP episodes. Which one should be used? --×Kevzo8 10:48, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

EP001 uses Ash. AG092 uses Ash. EP200 uses Ash. Orange Islands eps use Tracey's first name only. I'd say using Ash is just fine. (Well, that and the LTs are meant to be used always) — THE TROM — 11:18, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Thus, I'd say edit request: Ash Ketchum → Ash :P --×Kevzo8 11:25, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Delete extra parenthesis here: <!--* Mime Jr. (James))--> Ҝəυzø8 11:20, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Edit

Someone please change the <!--We Will Be Heroes--> to <!--~Battle Cry~ (Stand Up!)--> --Nick., something to say? 22:50, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

And Monferno plz. Kevzo8 01:37, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Since Animeevents is being put into pages, can it be put into the template as well? Thanks! --rockersk08 00:29, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Theme Song

Can someone change the English theme song to Battle Cry - (Stand Up!). Thank You. --HoennMaster 15:35, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Opting to remove Paul, Zoey, and their Pokemon from the list.

Really. How often do they show up now a days? I believe they should be removed from the character list all together. What's worse is that some users believe that if they are allowed to be hidden in a episode, then so can Kenny, Barry, and Nando. Anyone agree? --ケンジガール 06:43, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

I agree with you. I will make edit a tad easier when episodes air. --HoennMaster 10:06, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Gible

doesn't Gible need to be added now? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 13:55, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

US airing

Currently the template has "and in the United States on *day*" hidden. Can this be changed to "and will air in the United States on *day*" Since that is what needs to be shown when the dub information is revealed. I don't see why we should always have to change it everytime a title is revealed. --HoennMaster 08:31, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Post-163

Ash's Monferno needs to be changed to Ash's Infernape in the OP section. — @ 14:58, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Post-166

Ash's Grotle needs to be updated to Torterra to reflect the events of DP166. Thanks. — @ 11:57, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

So two things.

The Diamond & Pearl series is ending soon, so what do we do here? Move it to whatever the new series is, or what? Personally, I think we should just move this to Template:New episode, have it default to whatever the main thing is, and have a parameter that changes stuff up if it's a side story episode. But not until the current series ends, so we don't have to make unneeded edits early.

Also, the link to Brock has changed to Brock to reflect the new splitoff of his and Misty's anime pages. His Pokémon continue to be at Brock's (whatever), much like May's and Dawn's Pokémon disregard their suffix. TTEchidna 01:09, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Changes over to BW complete. TTEchidna 23:19, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Minor fix

Hey admins,

99}}}|3|0}}|Screenshots on Filb.de. It should be bw instead of dp. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 13:01, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Few more things,
 • It's Nurse Joy & Officer Jenny, confirmed by TV Tokyo site.
 • Add ベストウイッシュ! (Best Wishes!) and 心のファンファーレ(Fanfare of the Heart) as opening and ending respectively. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 12:21, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Updates

Ash's Pokabu and Tsutarja. Also, Iris is revealed to have a Doryuzu in next week's episode so that needs to be added to. --HoennMaster 13:36, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Tsutarja or Tsutaaja

In this template, Tsutarja is romanized as Tsutaaja, instead of the romanization we've using. May someone fix this? Another thing that may be fixed is Professor Oak's Pokémon lecture, which is now being called Professor Oak's Live Caster. --Netto-kun Talk 23:14, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

English opening

Can somebody remove/hide the English opening, as the next episode is the 53rd one and will likely have a new OP.--Den Zen 15:39, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Oak's Lecture

Is there any reason why Oak's Lecture is always in the trivia, and not in the Pokémon section like the Who's That Pokémon is? It does'nt really belong there. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 22:16, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Who's That Pokémon comes on during the episode. The lecture doesn't happen until after the show is over. --ケンジガール 11:42, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Remove N

Now that all of Episode N's episodes have been revealed, <!--N--> should be removed from the Humans section. – Chosen of Mana 16:02, 6 April 2013 (UTC)

Padleft

Can I ask why padleft:99|3|0}}]]</includeonly> is on the bottom of the page? — Reshi643 23:19, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

Episode Blurbs

I think a note should be included in the blurb section saying not to change it as it is the official summary from Pokémon.com (spelling errors the exception). --HoennMaster 06:29, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

New Pokémon

Can a Admin please add Clemont's Chespin and Jessie's Pumpkaboo. --HoennMaster 18:54, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Done. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 19:13, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

XY&Z song

Since the Pokémon XY & Z series of Pokémon XY is going to have a different theme song in the Japanese version, should the template be changed to include that as the theme song in the infobox so we don't have to manually change it when creating new episode articles? While the regular XY series isn't finished airing in Japan, we already have XY094's page created, confirming that future episode pages will be of XY & Z until another series is confirmed. We're done creating episode pages on the XY series*, so any future pages will have to be XY & Z, and the New episode template is for creating new pages. Since any future episode pages (before the next Pokémon anime series after that if that gets confirmed) are going to be created for XY & Z, should the Japanese theme song section in the infobox be the XY&Z song so those using the new episode template when creating articles won't have to manually re-edit the page to change the theme song from Mad-Paced Getter thus causing an unnecessary extra entry in the recent changes every time a new page is created? I always prefer trying to do everything I need to change on the page in one edit, as in not clogging up the RC. It'll make it easier if we change the song listed in the infobox to XY&Z. Also, if this change is made, we should also hide Roaring All-Stars. If I create an episode article, I'll be using this template because I saw on another user's talk page there were two requests for him to use this template with subst: rather than copying and pasting the source code of the previous article. And I agree, it helps reduce errors from copying the content of the previous article and forgetting to change a few things and it makes it easier. I believe the opening and ending songs in the infobox should be changed for the newly announced Pokémon XY & Z so people using this template when creating an article don't end up using the old opening and ending themes when creating XY & Z articles for episodes of the anime. - PokémonGamer 02:46, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

Suggesting hiding it because we don't know if they're going to use a different ending theme. It's hidden on the XY094 page with <!-- -->. Can't edit the previous comment since I've already posted it, so I'm making a new one. - PokémonGamer 02:49, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

Pokemon Character list

Frogadier needs to be updated as a Greninja, as we know it is going to evolve this week Pratik_12 Talk 03:42, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

It's not going to be changed until after the episode airs. You should know this already.--ForceFire 04:01, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
I was asking this cause new episodes after that one have already been listed that is the reason i asked Pratik_12 Talk 08:18, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
So? Doesn't mean the episode has aired.--ForceFire 08:26, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Edit request

In the Pokémon section for appearances, Meowth, Wobbuffet, and Mimikyu are missing parenthesis and Kiawe's Charizard no longer has its own article. PattyMan 20:33, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Can an admin please hide the English dub theme. These are supposed to be hidden until the dub airing info is revealed. --HoennMaster 01:27, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

Pokemon and characters

Not sure if this is the right place to suggest this, but is it at all possible to make Liko and Roy's main Pokémon automatically added because they always appear and maybe Friede too? I also feel like Liko's family and the recurring Explorer's members might not be needed anymore, but I don't know. Playerking95 (talk) 11:00, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
