Stat Modification

If someone was to increase the PP of this attack, would it affect the Power? - Tesh - 18:13pm 11th July 2007

Yes.

The power is the same as if it had 5 PP left if it has more than 5 PP left. --Shiny Noctowl Find the secret page! The oboe is the best instrument ever! 21:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Wrong base power?

Smogon's Pokedex says that Trump Card's base power at 2 PP is 80, and at 1 PP is 200. This says that Trump Card's base power at 2 PP is 75, and at 1 PP is 190. Which one is right? Blueapple128 19:04, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Let's see, the Pokédex on a website devoted to competitive battling whose staff and forum members conduct exhaustive research into every aspect of the game vs. the Pokémon encyclopedia that anyone can edit... Accuracy

The accuracy of this move is given as "-%", yet it is a move that can be affected by BrightPowder. How does that work? ~ Serial Colour 17:01, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

if you used life orb it would be 780 power :)Antidisestablishmentarianism 22:10, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Trivia

The trivia states that an Eevee using this move with many variables could create a base power of 720. What if it had a maximum attack and had an attack raising nature? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 22:13, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Neither Adaptability nor Silk Scarf affects the base power of the move, but the base damage. (See Damage calculation & Damage modification.) Or am I wrong? --En-Cu-Kou 10:36, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

However, at the top of the Damage modification page, doesn't it say "Damage modification is a system of multipliers used to change the damage dealt in a battle. These modifiers affect how the damage is calculated by multiplying the move's base power in various ways. These modifiers range from doubling to halving and even negating the damage done. " --Joeshie

Possibly unnotable trivia

So in the trivia it says that Oshawott is the only Gen V Pokémon able to learn Trump Card but I don't think it's that notable as Shellos is the only Gen IV Pokémon able to learn it yet it has no trivia FrankTheTank000 15:52, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

That's because Shellos isn't the only one from Generation IV. Leafeon and Glaceon get the move as well. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 15:54, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
Oh right I forgot about evolutions. Thanks FrankTheTank000 16:55, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Origin

Is it worthy to mention that this attack may be based on those card games (which I can't remember the name) where the lesser cards (PP) you have, higher the chances of you win (Power)?--Igor (talk) 15:34, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
