Pal Pad in Platinum can be obtained before getting the Coal Badge but can only be used at the Pokemon center in Oreburgh until after obtaining the first gym badge. I know this for a fact as I recently obtained it and got 3 Pokemon from a friend via the Pal Pad registration.--Lycos Ex Mortis 15:24, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
