Pal Pad in Platinum can be obtained before getting the Coal Badge but can only be used at the Pokemon center in Oreburgh until after obtaining the first gym badge. I know this for a fact as I recently obtained it and got 3 Pokemon from a friend via the Pal Pad registration.--Lycos Ex Mortis 15:24, 20 April 2010 (UTC) Why not add it? - If you change the DS system you connect to the internet with, your Pal Pad will be wiped. Also, if you use System Transfer to transfer data from a DSi to a 3DS, the 3DS then becomes the console you need to connect your game to the internet with rather than the DSi. --SnorlaxMonster 15:40, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
