Can someone confirm how this would work with Shedinja, would it fail, or would it bring the opponents health down to 1 (like Endeavor)? XVuvuzela2010X 18:13, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Well I checked it on Ruby and... works similiarly to Super Fang. Yet, it's impossible to kill with it, HP of Sandshrew (on which I was testing it) didn't changed after I used it 7th time. Marked +-+-+ 18:43, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Shell Bell

Regarding the research template, it has been tested for ORAS and prooved that Pain Split does ot trigger Shell Bell. Anyone else who tests it in other games, please add your findings here at the talk page. Suic12- (talk) 18:34, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

SadisticMystic had found that it won't trigger Shell Bell in RSE (which I now became to understand, see their talk page). I believe there's no reason to believe it would in any other game. Nescientist (talk) 16:10, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Bide interaction

Bide's stored damage seems to be this, which can apparently be increased even via Pain Split (I see no fancy check for Pain Split, unlike in other places relevant for Rage, Counter, etc.), and it uses a variable/register that is in fact also used for Pain Split. (Note that this will probably be Generation III only; I've inspected Generation II and found checks that prevent that.)

I was able to confirm in FRLG that Pain Split does indeed affect Bide damage! I also tested in Generation IV, but Bide just failed. Nescientist (talk) 15:13, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
