So... about the page image...
It has come to my attention that this image may be bunk.
On January 19, 2023, the official Bulbagarden Twitter account posted a thread praising Mizutani and the mons she had designed — and in one of the posts they used this photo (the one we have had on the page for a while now): a:File:Megumi Mizutani.jpg The next day, user @El_Aleph87 on Twitter posted a reply that basically says that is not her in the photo. They uploaded a group photo of Game Freak staff as shown in that Paris Pokémon Center exhibition from a decade ago and pointed out that Mizutani is in the photo and she looks nothing like the image we currently have.
This got me curious, so i looked into the desc of the photo we have on file and found out that user Team Rocket Grunt posted the image citing this as their source. I checked this site and... idk, it doesn't seem to be reliable? Like, idk what this site even is, but from what i've gathered, this seems to be one of those weird image aggregator websites. Regardless, this is a VERY unreliable source for an image. If i have to hazard a guess, i think the uploader just blindly googled "水谷 恵" until they got lucky.
What we should do:
- Find a suitable replacement image (with an actual reliable source)
- (Optional) Find out who the person on that photo we have on file even is (if it's not Mizutani)
(Addendum: I've also went and commented out the photo we have on the page)

- So we've figured out the confusion: the woman on that photo is indeed named Megumi Mizutani (水谷恵), but she's a completely different person that just so happens to have the same name as the designer. That photo is from her profile on this town website. I can understand the confusion thanks to the two people having the same name, but yeah. That ain't the Pokémon designer.
- So objective #2 is done; we just need to find a replacement image. Would the one posted by El_Aleph here suffice? Anzasquiddles (talk) 16:45, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- Well... I was trying to find photos of all the designers and that was not only what the google showed when I typed for Megumi Mizutani, but also the page clearly meant the one assiociated with Pokémon. I figuered her looks could change after I found her other photo in worse quality and with no source. If that's not her then we could use the one from Aleph. Besides, is there a way to identify the other people on that photo?--Rocket Grunt 20:00, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- We can ask Aleph about where they got the photo from. If i had to guess, it's likely from some art book and prolly has captions that identify each person in that photo. Anzasquiddles (talk) 00:24, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
